Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is on his way to a new job with an imminent start date

According to reports, the BBC and ITV are battling to secure Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou for their Euro coverage.

According to Mail Sport, ITV are leading the race to include the Australian in their punditry team. It is believed that both broadcasters have missed former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who plans to attend the tournament as a fan in his home country during his well-deserved break from football.

Known for his deep knowledge of the game, Postecoglou is a private individual off the field, and his insights can give one broadcaster an advantage over another. An announcement on the lineups is expected soon, possibly in the coming days.

In related news, Leicester City defender Conor Coady has been captured by BBC Radio 5 Live. The 31-year-old was part of both England squads at the last two major tournaments but did not play.

During the 2021 European Championship, assistant manager Steve Holland praised Coady as the ‘player of the tournament’ for his positive influence on the England camp.

Postecoglou is currently in his native Australia with his team Tottenham as they prepare for a friendly against Newcastle United on Wednesday.
